Lake Lions
The Random Lake Lions Club is part of a worldwide organization known as Lions Clubs International, whose motto is "We Serve."
Approximately 45,000 Lions Clubs can be found in 200 countries and geographic areas and our membership stands at over 1,300,000 men and women. Together, Lions are involved in the most extensive program in history to conquer blindness through a program called SightFirst.
In addition to sight programs, Lions Clubs International is committed to providing services for youth. Lions clubs also work to improve the environment, build homes for the disabled, support diabetes education, conduct hearing programs and, through heir foundation, provide disaster relief around the world.
Lionism began in October of 1917, when a group of men in Dallas, Texas created the first service club organization truly dedicated to helping others by sharing their time, talents and treasures. The late Melvin Jones is the founder of the present Association of Lions Clubs International.
